Ayurveda is a traditional healing system of medicine which dates back more than 5000 years: -  https://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=478245132108&oid=282737858900&comments.

It is the standard method of medical treatment in India  and Sri Lanka where physicians are trained in Universities and Hospitals over a six year training period.  The first U.K. university degree course in Ayurvedic medicine (est. 2005) was awarded to Diana Kras and Susan Lincoln in 2008 by Middlesex University.   By founding Ayurveda4all  Diana based in Glasgow, and Susan based in East Anglia, aims to encourage the people throughout the UK to become familiar with Ayurvedic therapies and medicine. Professional and leisure training in several Ayurvedic therapies are offered by both practitioners. This includes a Diploma in Ayurvedic Healthcare awarded by the College of Ayurveda (UK),  as well as Continuing Professional Development courses bringing in experts in certain areas such as Dr Schrott, founder of the German Ayurvedic Association, the first such organisation in Europe to expand the level of practical expertise of both fellow practitioners and therapists.

Health and Happiness for Everyone

Traditionally Ayurveda holds total well being comes through balance of body, mind and spirit.  The Ayurvedic practitioner aspires to rectify imbalances within the body, the cause of all disease.   Disease arises from seeing ourselves as separate from universal consciousness known as pragyaparad,  (mistake of the intellect).  Everything is viewed as composed of three essential elements; Vata,  which controls movement, Pitta which acts through digestion, metabolism and hormones, and Kapha, which is responsible for structure, strength, and fluids. When these go out of balance we feel distressed.  The art of Ayurveda is to learn how to recognise imbalances and know what to do about them.  Through educational and practical experiential training Ayurveda4all seeks to enable each person to take control of their own state of well being and live Perfect Health or Yoga.
